If you were to create a retreat or retreat center, what would it

Posted on Jan 23rd, 2008 by Allison : living love Allison
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for January 23, 2008:

I recently spent the last 5 years coming out of a coma,
and healing myself of severe traumatic brain injuries.
I have seen, and experienced the medical system, and
how they are helping patients with one of the most severe
injuries and recoveries one could go through. I realized very
quickly, that people coming out of these recoveries, are not
receiving the care that they really need to heal, and come back
to life again.

If finances would allow,
I would purchase an old victorian home, way out in the country,
with beautiful gardens, and trees, and create a center for healing
where people coming out of coma's, and healing from traumatic
brain inuries, could come to heal, and receive the care that they
really need.
I would staff it with holisitic nurses, doctors, reiki practitioners,
and many other practioners of natural and alternative healing.
I would have several rooms with beds in them, where people
would be able to sleep as long as they need. If they needed to
sleep for years..... so be it. I would provide the peaceful space
for them to sleep, while their body repairs itself in peace,
without having to be in the energy of a hospital, or a house
full of people, who are concerned, and do not understand.

Here, everyone will understand. And let you heal in peace.

And when the patients are ready, and in a space where they are
ready to integrate again, they can take it as slow as they need to.
And wake up to a beautiful environment to be in. Without having
to deal with the sensory over load of the city around them.
When they are ready, there would be gatherings they can attend, if
they choose, based on positive affirmation, and being spoken
to that they will only become completely healed again.
No matter what the situation.
And there will be groups for their family members and friends to
attend, where they can learn more about positive affirmation for
their loved ones, the importance of trust, faith, patience, and
commitment to long term processes. And more so, to learn
more about the different levels of consciousness that their
loved one is living in, the process of "waking up", and
our bodies natural abitlity to heal.
There would also be classes for them to attend and learn different forms
of alternative healing, like Reiki, so that they could actively play a part in
their loved ones healing process, if they so choose.
And when their loved one is ready to walk again, there would be beautiful,
quiet gardens for them to walk in... without the sensory overload of the
every day noise you may hear outside.
It is so important that people in this condition begin to receive the
treatment that they really need, trying to make their way back to life
again, in such a timeful society. It is a slow process, that can not be
rushed. And they need a beautiful, quiet, healing space to do it in, if
they are going to do it at all.
And with the support of having a team of healers around them.
This is how I was able to make my way back to life again... and I
made a promise to the universe that should I come back to life again,
I would use my experience to help other people.
My first way, is to spread as much healing music
around the world  as possible.
My second way, is to write a book to educate people
more about coma and brain injury, and the many different
levels of consciousness in-between. And remind
people of the power and ability our bodies have to heal.
And my third way, is to open a healing center, for people coming
out of comas, to come to heal, and receive the treatment they really
need during this time. And provide the much needed resources for
their family.
I hope to be able to run this center, so that it can accept anyone,
regardless of their financial situation.
So.... there you have it...... there is my dream.
May God bless it, and if it may be of use to some people on this planet.....
let it be.
Bless love, and so it is.    <3
